Disc burner dead?

I have a GE70 Apache Pro.  I've tried burning disc in a number of ways - Windows Media Player, straight up drag and drop, DeepBurn, TinyBurn, CDBurnerXP.  All will get to the point where they start burning and then stop. None give a reason other than b...
