could be dead or you could have bent pins in your CPU socket so check that first and have a look with a strong light and a magnifier to see if any are bent then try to nudge any bent ones back into...

I had a feeling that was a problem too. The fan is still spinning and the fan overdrive is noticeably working too. I shot it with compressed air, just to be sure and am still getting the same issues.
